Stability of Financial Institutions

This map shows the stability of financial institutions, based on the Z-score of a country's commercial banks. The Z-score is the weighted average of all the commercial banks estimated as return on assets (ROA) plus equity divided by assets and standard deviation of the ROA. The figures for ROA, equity and assets are taken from Bankscope. The standard deviation of ROA is estimated as a five-year moving average.
